Week 7B

I believe visual support is needed in every single business. Every business can benefit from the use of picture, videos or any kind of art. Especially in my business of selling items online is most necessary. Before a customer buys something they need to know what it will look like, colors, sizes and more detailed the better.

4 Business I chose:

1) Venus: It's an online women clothing store who use a lot of different kinds of visual art  in their official online store, and through things like Facebook ads. They use images to capture a potential customer attention, and hopefully convert that to a sell. I looked at their Twitter  https://twitter.com/venusswimwear, and seen that although they have 4k followers they don't have much interaction with their posts as they average only a couple likes. This for them is an area where they're very lacking in; and with more social media interaction they could be doing a lot better. Although they're very active, and post everyday.

2) World of Watches: An online store based all around watches both men and female. I really like what they do with the pictures of watches they post on the website and on social media. They don't simply just post a picture, but they decorate it make it look good with Photoshop, and other forms of art design tools which really capture a potential customer. I took a look at their Instagram, and only have 4k followers with little post engagement much like Venus. Seems to be a trend that with smaller online business they seem to struggle to have a bigger post engagement. I would try to do a giveaway or some sort to promote likes and followers on a page. http://www.worldofwatches.com/.

3) Pacsun: I chose to take a look at a big retail company, and try to analyze how they use social media. Looking through their Instagram I saw that not only they post pictures of their clothing, but also use a lot of models, and famous people to bring more attention to them like Kylie Jenner in one of their latest posts. Obviously since they're a much bigger company it's easier for them to pay big names like such. But I believe that the use of social media influences is crucial for a strong social media campaign. https://www.instagram.com/pacsun/.

4) Vans: Lastly I chose to look at another big brand. I looked at their YouTube channel to see what kind of videos they posted, and how it affected their company. Vans sponsors a lot of professional skateboarders, and other kinds of sport people. Their YouTube was filled with skateboarding/surf videos who were very high quality, and very entertaining. They got millions of views and tons of comments with around 220k subscribers. I believe making very entertaining videos of that nature could really boost a company brand. https://www.youtube.com/user/VansShoes66.

Week 7A

Hello,

Visual networks are obviously going to be a huge part in the business I want to build. I'm selling an online item which means the only way people are going to know what it is it's through images and ads. The 8 most used visual network are: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr and Snapchat. They all work toward one big objective which is brand recognition.  Visual networks help your brand spread across different networks and be recognized by more and more people. The biggest visual network that will help my business I believe that will be Pinterest, Tumbler and Instagram. All three of those social network are more dominated by women which is what my product at least in the beginning will focus. All of those networks are mostly focused around pictures which are perfect to help my business grow.  Being able to post a picture will attract viewers to like it, and engage with it even hopefully to like it enough to purchase from my online store. Instagram will also be really good to use as a platform for social media influencers to post a picture of my product as an advertisement of it. This practice to me is really key to make your business grow. Investing some money to be advertise to a lot of people who like things that your product revolves around. The focus for my business would be to make pictures WOW the viewer and will want to make them click on the website, and purchase an item which will hopefully will turn them into a recurrent customer.

Week 6A

Facebook likes:

1.Urban Outfitters
2.Disneyland
3.Shopify
4.Chokers
5.Online marketing
6.Women accessories
7.Online sales

I decided to like two types of pages . The first would be the specific group of people that would be interested on purchasing from my Shopify store. The primary item selling would be a Disneyland choker. So my customer would be women who're into Disnelyand, and keep up to modern fashion; so on the younger side. This is an example of an item I would be selling.

The other group of pages that I liked was for my personal learning. Marketing, and online sales management to understand more of the business side of what I'm doing. I imagined that learning from other people, and what they're doing can only help my business grow towards the right direction. Seeing what's working for online sales, and how to market is a key component on creating an online store like I'm trying to do.

Week 5A

Post reach: Reaching people within their news feed on social medias.  It's used to capture your targeted clients.  How many people are seeing what you're advertising.

Post engagement: How many people are engaging with your content that can be your following your Facebook page or liking pictures you posted. It's very important to establish brand recognition and loyal customers.

Knowing the difference is very important for a business because they both help a business grow. Post reach is how you get your foot in the door, and are visible to new customers. It gives you the chance to create post engagement. You would want a customer to see a post than engage on it. They also differ on when you want to use either or. Post reach is more helpful in the beginning stages of a business to get start up customers, and than post engagement to solidify those customers, and through their engagement you will get more and more customers.

Facebook insight is a tool provided by Facebook which let's you see the activity on your page for the past week. You can get information on your customers like their sex, time zoned they engaged with you and so on You can  see how popular certain posts or engagements were, and after gathering information you can develop a strategy which should in theory boost your post engagement, and result in more potential customers. You can monitor how well your growth is going or see if you're actually declining in popularity, and take actions on it. It's a great marketing tool that all business should master to maximize their potential customer output, and increase the quality of their posts.

Week 4B

Hello,

The first niche that I had in mind for my shopify business was a Disneyland choker, I found it on a website for about $3, but when searching I didn't find many stores selling the same item. I feel like chokers are really in style right now, and combining it with the Disneyland brand it will make for a very specific group of customers. Being able to focus an ad campaign just to them will be very beneficial. The age group probably will be 17-25 females who're Disneyland fans.

Having a specific group to target will help a lot with Facebook ads especially. Advertisment targeted to exactly the ideal customers will help increase conversion in sales per ad, and also save money because you won't have to advertise as much.
