Week 13A

Hello everyone,

I created an ad through Facebook with an objective to have people click on my website and purchase items. This made the most sense for my website because we're trying to generate sales, and make profit online by selling products. I targeted a specific market with the help of Google trends to understand how I should make my ads the most effective. I targeted women age 20-65 from countries which did the most online shopping for women's watches (US, UK and India). I set the ad for 3 days at a $5/day budget. The results were really good as 322 people clicked on it and 81 people liked the post and we managed to get 62 sales. Which we made about a $700 profit. I thought it went really well as a first experimental ad, and will definitely keep at it to generate more sales.

Week 11A

Some extra online marketing tools that could really benefit my store would be:

1. Collaborating with bloggers in the industry of fashion to work out a way that they can review my products or store in one of their blog posts. Doing this will give my store a lot more attention from people, and if it's a good review it would be more likely for people to want to check it out and shop from it.
2. Giving free times away to Instagram influencers. Giving out free products for people who have a lot of followers on Instagram would have them post picture of it, and advertise my store and products. This marketing tool is really great to appeal to a specific customer who follows a certain page for a reason.
3. Starting a YouTube channel. I already started one I believe it's a really good tool to show off products and review it yourself. It's free, and gives a lot of advertising as you get more subscribers. YouTube can also open a lot of doors for different business ventures and a lot of collaborations.
4. Doing a giveaway. It can be done on a blog, on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or anything else. It gets people excited to win free stuff, and you get back a lot of promotion as people would have to spread the word to get a chance to win the products. I see it a lot on Twitter as a retweet is your raffle ticket for the prize.

Week 10A

I feel that email marketing is really good for almost all businesses. I already have done some of my own research on it on the past, and plan to sign up for one when my business is up and running. It's good to email potential customers or prior customers to get to come back to buy more products off your store. It's really good to keep your customers with any new products or discounts that your store is having. I've done some research as seen that more often than not a customer will start buying items after 2-3 emails. I believe that because of that emails should be sent out at least twice a week. I'm signed up to a few businesses emails and some email everyday. Gucci for example emails me everyday with any new items or new ad/fashion show that they have. It helps the consumer keep that brand in mind, and builds a lot of brand recognition. I believe sme businesses do need more mailing than others. For example a carpet cleaning business won't need to email a customer every week since carpets don't need to be cleaned that often, but a retail store might want to email often because people are always looking to buy stuff.

In the fashion business email marketing is really powerful as a simple email might trigger a buy from a customer if they see a new item that might interest them. We all get those emails from website we signed up with their latest apparel items and so on. It also helps the customer feel wanted if they're getting personal emails by the business, and helps the customer not forget about your store and business.

Week 9A

Any topics in my opinion needs to have some kind of human touch  to become popular, and appeal to the people. Fashion has a lot of human interest because it shows how a person express themselves, and how they like to dress, and what kind of impression they want to give to their society.
I really love fashion, and using my passion to create something will show through my work, and appeal more to people.

Week 8B

The words I used for my advanced search were "Women fashion" first than I tried to narrow down my research using "Women fashion jewelry". Having a specific customer market is really important in the beginning stages of a company as you don't push yourself too thin on the market.

I created a list on my twitter for women's fashion jewelry. It helps me being able to easily access other company twitter accounts, and see what they're doing to attract customers, and create conversions which will ultimately help my business grow. Having a listing helps show what my businesses is about, and what we specialize in.

I tried to tweet at peak hours during the day which would be 11 am to 3 pm during the day. It's the time where most people engage with Twitter. It's  best for a company to tweet during this time to get the most exposure they can especially when first starting out. Using high post engagement times; is a really good trick to help boost your company just that extra that it might need.
